I haven't posted on here in ages!
The flying v project never happened in the end, but I have just finished another successful flying v project. I'm going to put some pictures up of my latest acquisitions, including: A Marshall JVM 410H Head, A Rhino YJM-50 Yngwie Malmsteen signature head with custom Marshall Cab, 1989 Fender Japan Yngwie sig, 1988 Fender USA Yngwie sig (first year of his series) and a custom Yngwie-esque flying V that I have just finished making!

Scalloped Strat Update - Finished!
At last, after months of waiting and customs charges I have got the neck. I spent the evening putting everything together, and now I have a beautiful sounding, beautiful playing Vintage Modern scalloped strat ala Yngwie. It looks old but sounds pretty modern. Great for the sort of music I play!. Here are the pictures anyway! I've got for that dull arty look with the photo's!

Flying V project.
A new project! I am still awaiting the neck for my scalloped strat so in the meantime I have begun a flying v mod. It started off as a grubby, sticker laden epiphone. So far I have taken the guitar to bits, peeling the stickers off, and getting all of the sticky marks off of the body and pickguard. I am going to strip all of the paint off down to bare wood and finish it in a natural stain, and wood wax. I have stipped the paint off of the back of the body but it has some really thick sealer shit underneath, like a layer of plastic! So I am going to have to sand through that as nitro mors doesn't seem to want to get through it! I have put new pickups in the pickguard and wired them up. I have got GFS crunchy rails in the bridge and a 10k lil killer in the neck, should hopefully sound good!
I have only have these 2 pictures at the moment, more updates soon!

Scalloped strat update!
As I didn't get to put much about the guitar the other day I am going to tell you what is going to be in it.
So you've seen the alder reliced body. For the neck I am using a MightyMite scalloped maple neck with CBS headstock and 70's fender decal. Pickups are GFS Neovins. The overwound set loaded into a mint green pickguard and cream covers and knobs. Wilko Piston machine heads, and wilko fat block vintage strat trem. I have also shielding the cavities in the body even though I'm not sure I needed to as the Neovins are totally noisless!
More updates soon :-).

This is my Solid alder strat body that I am going to use for a scalloped strat project. Got it in shiny vintage white, so dulled it down a bit and stuck a vintage pin up girl on it, then reliced it :-) I shall post more updates when the other parts arrive, and hopefully update some other projects I have been doing too. Pictures below. Click on them to make them bigger!

Frankenstrat Update!
Rightio! A few more bits have arrived, those being the 1971 quarter, Neck, Pickguard, and using the bits I already had, being the old switch, machineheads, eye hooks. I think that's it!
I was so pleased when the neck arrived as it fitted the body so perfectly, so I aged it removed the decals and refinished the headstock, but not too much as EVH's one was unfinished. Bolted on the neck and added the machineheads. And I added the burnt effects too. I haven't yet screwed on the pickguard as I still need to do the electrics, I have however cut it to shape and put a 500k CTS pot in. Also I have put the vintage switch in the middle pickup rout and drilled the hole through the coin and put screws through the correct holes. The coin needs a bit more ageing though. All that needs doing now, is the pickups, the trem and locking nut/string retainer etc. I really hope it works ok! Pictures below!!
